pontiacmaniac94 Posted December 2, 2008 Report Posted December 2, 2008 okay, 94 grand prix, 2dr, yadayadayada. question: i have the trunk release button in the glovebox, but it doesnt work now. it worked in the past. i press the button, nothing happens. i know it is a bad ground, yes, i am not arguing that with anyone. does anyone know where the wiring goes for the trunk release so i can find it where i have a problem or an exposed wire? thanks! 5speedz34 Posted December 2, 2008 Report Posted December 2, 2008 To the trunk..... :lol: I think there is a ground for it on the trunklid. Otherwise my guess would be somewhere in the dash. I don't have my FSM with me. Quote
Crazy K Posted December 3, 2008 Report Posted December 3, 2008 it is most likely a bad selonoid. I've had two bad ones. take a test light (or voltmeter) and hook it between the single wire connector at the trunk and a ground. push the button. does it light? Quote
