AL Posted November 30, 2008 Report Posted November 30, 2008 you will need a power trunk release solenoid Quote

1990lumina Posted November 30, 2008 Report Posted November 30, 2008 It takes one wire with a 12volt source. The solenoid grounds itself through it's body to the trunk lid. The 12 volt wire energizes the solenoid momentarily to pop the trunk. Quote
AL Posted November 30, 2008 Report Posted November 30, 2008 I am not sure about the wiring as the one I have, the wires were cut... But when they install the alarm, they will also need to install a keyless receiver and the trunk release will have to be wiring from that somehow also. Quote
1990lumina Posted November 30, 2008 Report Posted November 30, 2008 The alarm i nmy Lumina is wired to the trunk pop. All it does it use of one the aux outputs fro mthe alarm module to energize the solenoid. Very simple system Quote
