spiderw31
whoops no its s 3.1L but I thought I would share Still, thats interesting 'cause since I wouldn't expect the LQ1 to see an increase, I really wouldn't have expected one from the 3.1. Guest GrandPrixlover1
Isn't the octane number of gasoline a measure of it's inability to burn/detonate, which is why in order to burn higher octane gas you need a higher compression ratio? I'm asking because I've heard several people say(other than this forum) that using higher octane fuel in their cars makes them run like shit. So I guess that would mean that even though you are burning higher octane fuel, your engine isn't going to be able to burn it as efficiently as regular unleaded, unless your engine is made to run higher octane fuel. Here's where I got my info(yeah it's wiki, but anywho): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Octane_number
