jasond Posted November 21, 2008 Report Posted November 21, 2008 My 94 gp will click 2 or 3 times before cranking over and starting, the battery, alternator and starter are all new. The theft deterant module and ecm have been replaced, twice, the passkey has been bypassed by plugging a resistor in at the base of the column. The small wire leading to the igniton lock cylinder broke, prompting the bypass mod. I'm at my wits end on this thing and thinking about selling the car. Quote
AL Posted November 21, 2008 Report Posted November 21, 2008 were the battery cables cleaned before installing the battery/starter? if it clicks a couple times that means it is most likely the hold in winding in the starter Quote

spiderw31 Posted November 21, 2008 Report Posted November 21, 2008 Bad connections somewhere, or the starter (even though new) might be having a problem. Quote
Brian P Posted November 21, 2008 Report Posted November 21, 2008 was the starter replaced due to this problem? Or did this start after the install? *moving to Powertrain* Quote
