Issues with charge

ok, this might be a problem that i caused, but i had to check the chip # on my car the other day (thursday). well after having the ECM out, i have had a serious problem with my battery charge. all day during friday, it was fine, but on the way back to my g/f's house at about 11:00 pm, the charge light came on, and my battery charge is only 1/4.

fuck

that night i pulled over at the state line store and called a freind to follow me back to my house, my g/f mom came and picked her up. in the meantime, i had my freind help give me a charge, but the battery did not taking a single volt. WTF is the deal here, i've swapped batteries, and the new one drops to 1/4 and stays there. i left the charger on it all night on sunday, and its still 1/4. another thing witch is doesn't sound to promising, is the small grinding noise that is coming from my serpintine belt drive. also on top of that, i've got a a rough idel problem. it not my timing belt. i have a brand new alt, brand new battery.

wtf is the deal here. i'm seriously about to kick the shit out of my car. i just got all these great goody's, like the wheels, and the headlight/tailight covers, but i havn't had time to install the FFP chip yet, for i have just received it.

any help? i would like my z back

Can we say alternator time? The battery light/gauge is I would say 9 times out of ten going to come on/drop voltage due to your alternator, not your battery. Hook up a multimeter to your battery posts, you should be getting 13.5-14.5V with the car running. If it's low you need to check your connections to your alternator, but since you said you've got a grinding noise from your belt drive I'd say it's probably toast.

sigh, i guess i was in denial, i already have the car apart anyway.

but it still seem weird that the battery charge will not go up any with a charger or jump.
