Mass Air Flow Sensor????

ok well.... i am looking at car pics and i notice on all of the other 3100 Sfi engines there is a MAF, on mine i do not have one.... i have an intake temp Sensor, but no MAF, who don't i have one and does it make a diffrence ????? the engine is in a 95 Base Lumina.

 

or is it BC i am in canada that i don't have one ???(emissions)

No it wont hurt your car. Instead of a MAF, you have a MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure). This measures engine vacuum and then based on that reading, the ECM tells the injectors how much fuel to dump in. The MAT/IAT sensor you referred to, measure the temp of the incoming air. The ECM just gets this signal. I *think* the ECM only uses the MAT/IAT when the motor is cold. The MAF measures how much air is coming and based on that the ECM tells the injectors how much fuel to dump in
