91LuminaEuro Posted November 7, 2008 Report Posted November 7, 2008 I guess i've decided to throw some more money at my Lumina this winder and into this spring, adding new paint, probably gonna throw a Z34 hood and rear spoiler(probably gonna just swap whole decklid). So i decided it may be nice to lower the lumina 1 1/2-2 inches or so. I know they offer some quality kits to lower our cars and stuff, however i want ot stay dirty cheap. I've cut coil springs on older cars to lower them, i've never done it to a car this new. My question is, has anyone cut their springs to lower their W-body? If so how many coils and how far did you get it down? Did if effect your ride in any way? Let me know guys! Thanks!
Dark Ride Posted November 7, 2008 Report Posted November 7, 2008 This thread is for You http://www.w-body.com/forum/index.php?topic=55751.0 Also, this belongs in Suspension so it will probably be moved
91LuminaEuro Posted November 7, 2008 Author Report Posted November 7, 2008 Obviously i do not pay attention...my appologies.
CSI_MuNkY Posted November 7, 2008 Report Posted November 7, 2008 If your going to do it, do it right. Cutting springs is not right, nor is heating them up till they sag. I did my entire suspension job for less than $2k, and I went absolutely all out with what I got. I have no regrets either. Jamie
