88monte Posted August 17, 2003 Report Posted August 17, 2003 i was wondering if the 3.8 nitrous system for a camaro/firebird would work on my 00 monte ss?... i was just curious, i have the kit laying in my garage and i wouldnt mind hooking it up to the monte. Quote
Redfox340 Posted August 17, 2003 Report Posted August 17, 2003 Hooking up the juice it not all that hard. However, the toggle switch on how the NOS is fired could be your biggest challenge on the install. I would double check the inter-changability from the F-Body to the W-Body before ripping up anything. Otherwise everything else is the same; bottle in rear, fogger kit in engine bay, etc. - Erik Quote

Redfox340 Posted August 17, 2003 Report Posted August 17, 2003 well would it f*** up my computer if i juiced it? No, not the ECM itself. But installed incorrectly you may have problem with fouling out sensor(s) or getting a Service Engine Soon (SES) light. On a non-specific built motor, I would go more than a 75hp shot of Nitrous. Also, the main thing able NOS is that it increases combustion camber tempretures. That can produce more engine wear over long periods of time. - Erik Quote
