jake91 Posted October 31, 2008 Author Report Posted October 31, 2008 my mom just had a multi pack in the garage so i used it some were 100 some were 200 i would probably go with a bit higher grit it will take longer but it will probably look better because like i said mine got a little groved up Quote
01GPGT Posted October 31, 2008 Report Posted October 31, 2008 not to hijack your thread, but i just decided to do mine after reading this b/c i was bored idk what grit it was, but i used a belt sander Quote
01GPGT Posted October 31, 2008 Report Posted October 31, 2008 the right one looks better than the left one i think...i might hit that one b/c i missed a little spot again, probably tomorrow Quote
01GPGT Posted October 31, 2008 Report Posted October 31, 2008 thanks....and thanks for inspiring me to do it Quote
xtremerevolution Posted October 31, 2008 Report Posted October 31, 2008 Not bad. I'd advise using lower grits and moving up to higher grits. Much easier than just starting off with a high grit. To finish it off, I'd definitely go with something like a 1000 grit. Quote
ricers have no chance Posted October 31, 2008 Report Posted October 31, 2008 nice. i dont have a tip yet.. its jus the pipe from the muffler they chopped at a 45 to look "cool"lol Quote
Psych0matt Posted November 1, 2008 Report Posted November 1, 2008 i just have one of those drill attatchment stripper things, i hit the tips every once in a while, does the job, occasionally i use some polishing compound and some rags on the drill Quote
runt Posted November 1, 2008 Report Posted November 1, 2008 If you really want them to "shine" once you get up around 800 grit you could start to wet sand and move up to 1000 wet and they'd look awesome. Quote
94Z34OWNR Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 I just took some steel wool and decent wheel cleaner to mine.It makes them looks better and doesnt scratch them up like sandpaper does. Quote
