oldscsc
I've got a nasty sounding issue that has popped up within the past couple weeks. If I'm barely on the brakes, you can hear the brake pad indicators. Under actual braking, that noise is gone. Now from a stop to at least 40 MPH (even cruising) I can hear that same indicator. It's in the driver's side front end. Are the brakes in that corner dragging very lightly?
jake91
my car does the same thing my neighbor is a mechanic and he told me it was probably dirt on the pads
jreed10
Mine does it too, but I couldn't find anything wrong with my brakes when I checked them.

Euro
how good of quality are the pads?
rockfangd
ok here is a simple solution to your problem. It is most likely a haze on the pads stopping surface. All you have to do is pull the calipers and take some coarse sandpaper and just sand the pads lightly until the haze is gone. Basically before you do it they will look glossy and after they will not. Works every time for me unless the pads are too far gone
