1tinindian Posted October 25, 2008 Report Posted October 25, 2008 I've been thinking of cleaning up my calipers and can't decide on what color to paint them, that would go good with my Bright Aqua body color. I usually like the red, but have my doubts, with the color of my GTP. Then I thought of black or silver, but am kinda leaning towards black. Give me you thoughts and opinions on the subject! Thanks, Leon Quote
GPX Posted October 25, 2008 Report Posted October 25, 2008 Red would look gross with your bright aqua. How about the complementary color of yellow? Otherwise, I'd go with black. Quote
90Cutlass3.1 Posted October 25, 2008 Report Posted October 25, 2008 Why not Bright Aqua if you can find high heat paint in that color? Quote
Venom Posted October 25, 2008 Report Posted October 25, 2008 Id say black or silver. Body color matched calipers only look good on certain color cars IMO. Quote
AL Posted October 25, 2008 Report Posted October 25, 2008 I also say yellow... They would stand out much more Quote
slick Posted October 25, 2008 Report Posted October 25, 2008 Use high temp engine paint, seems to do a much better job. Quote
Euro Posted October 25, 2008 Report Posted October 25, 2008 I'd go black or silver! More towards silver. Quote
Breakdown Posted October 27, 2008 Report Posted October 27, 2008 Option 3: Don't paint your x-laces look so much better and you can barely (if at all see the brake calipers through those to start with). I wouldn't say that if you gold x-laces looked like a pile of s*** like the ones in my garage do, but yours look hot! They also make the car stick out more. If you demand my opinion on the actual question that you asked assuming you're wearing the 5-stars. I like Silver. The right green wouldn't be bad either, and while I won't knock the yellow suggestion, I won't endorse it either. Quote
intern8tion9l Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 body color. all you need is high heat clear as a top coat. ask jay(19Cutlass94) Quote
Stevo Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 Yellow would be the proper color but would look nasty in a day's driving. Quote
J Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 yellow, are you guys serious? That'd look like a steaming pile of shit. Silver or black Quote
1tinindian Posted October 28, 2008 Author Report Posted October 28, 2008 yellow, are you guys serious? That'd look like a steaming pile of shit. Silver or black I'm glad someone said that! I thought silver at first, but it would show the dirt too much, so I might just go gloss black to eliminate the rust-look! Thanks for the comments guys! Quote
GPX Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 yellow, are you guys serious? That'd look like a steaming pile of shit. Silver or black Why bother painting if they don't stand out? Quote
xtremerevolution Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 yellow, are you guys serious? That'd look like a steaming pile of shit. Silver or black Why bother painting if they don't stand out? I'd rather have them not stand out as black than have them stand out as a vibrant rust. Quote
