White93z34
a 2001 would have dual-stage airbags, so the airbag would not work. a airbag from a 97' would work.

White93z34
i believe 97 would be as new as you could go, as from what I understand 1998 was mandatory dual stage airbags in everything. I don't know what the montanas had, that might be a place to look.

GJD5
You can use the 97+ steering wheels but the airbag itself has to be for a 97. The plug is different on the 98+. I have a 2000 steering wheel on my 96 GP with a 97 airbag. Also, FYI, I did notice the 98+ steering wheels were lighter because they are aluminum. 5speedz34
There is a thread on this in this section! Search for it. You need a '97 only airbag, any 97-00 wheel will work. Remember the wheels in 01 the GP's got new steering wheels.
GP1138
I was going to do this in my car. I might see if I can grab a newer Olds wheel with some newer RSWC.

GP1138
search for it?!?!?!?! come on man! you know the search is not the best on here! x2 All you have to do is click "Advanced Search". Then it works. Most people need to learn how to search properly, using AND/OR operators, and quotes.
5speedz34
You know the name for those operators is the borreal operators?
Timm
Yea, I figured out the search, but it usually turns up irrelevant things. And you're stuck with maybe 10-20 pages of material. Which you usually end up going through, just to find that they never went over your topic before. I've been there plenty of times. And by the time I'm done searching, I'm exhausted and get a little sick of the website altogether. (Don't get me wrong, I love this website, but I get frustrated!) And I'm really contemplating weather or not to post this, as I know I'll probably get screamed at by someone who doesn't relate to what I go through with this "search". But I'll post anyway. Too much typing to throw away! And best of all, probably nothing in this comment will make sense!
