Throttle Position Sensor

Okay, well I've have my 'Service engine soon' light on for a while now. The cause is "Code 22 - Low voltage to the TPS". This has to be one of the most annoying problems I've had in a while. As some of you may know having a malfunctioning throttle position sensor, makes for a shitty fucking drive. In "Drive", if your steady on the gas, the car jerks back and fourth as if your legs having a spasm on the pedal. The only way to get a smooth ride, is to shift through the gears in the ol' auto. You have to rev up to about 3500 before shifting until its tolerable. Anyways I changed the TP sensor with no avail. 50 some bucks down the drain, and it's still happening. It has to be a wiring issue now. Has anyone had this problem before? Anybody know what to check?

Sensor will have three wires. Reference voltage( 5.0 volts), signal return and ground. Use a voltmeter with the tps disconnected and check for voltage and ground. If those are ok, plug it back in and check the third wire with the voltmeter while opening the throttle slowly. You should see the voltage rise from apprx .5 volts to approx 4.0 volts. Obviously if you dont have 5 volts or ground you have a broke wire or PCM problem. No voltage or incorrect voltage while moving the throttle, TPS problem.
