Night Fury Posted February 17, 2009 Report Posted February 17, 2009 Hey, we all get a bit of a kink every now and again! Quote
Scottster Posted February 19, 2009 Report Posted February 19, 2009 So how did all the extra insulation effect the interior noise level? Quote
slick Posted February 19, 2009 Author Report Posted February 19, 2009 So how did all the extra insulation effect the interior noise level? No battery, hard to tell. But the sound level, inside the car, seems to be much more dampened. Quote

I'll consider this for more quiet inside the car. That Flowmaster 40 can get on the nerves sometimes, but I doubt this would do much to mask that anyway. Quote
slick Posted February 19, 2009 Author Report Posted February 19, 2009 May help some, but your best bet to quiet it down would be put some some actual sound deadener in the trunk floor, rear shock towers, and under the rear seat. Quote

Yeah, I hear ya. In hindsight I wish I woulda squeezed a 50 series under there instead of these band-aid fixes I'm considering now. Quote

Matts97cutty89 Posted February 19, 2009 Report Posted February 19, 2009 Honestly, I'm a flooring manager, don't tell me about my own product! You think it'll hold up/stay in place/etc? I guess you probably wont have it out too much in the rain/snow, so it wouldn't see moisture as much Hey i work at menards too.. just got my profit sharing check! / end thread derail. Quote

slick Posted February 21, 2009 Author Report Posted February 21, 2009 The new owner will take over from here. The car came with a trunk full, and backseat full of parts. Quote

slick Posted February 21, 2009 Author Report Posted February 21, 2009 Decided to cut my losses before I got too much more into it. It just wasn't for me. Quote

LukeZ34 Posted February 22, 2009 Report Posted February 22, 2009 Glad it's still in good hands. Quote
Addicted To Boost Posted February 22, 2009 Report Posted February 22, 2009 So let me tell you about driving a car with summer tires in the snow and slush. Sucks, huh? There is no traction, even with 245s. Quote

jake91 Posted February 22, 2009 Report Posted February 22, 2009 x2 on tire width i drove a geo with 155 tires and it would go through anything Quote
slick Posted February 22, 2009 Author Report Posted February 22, 2009 Glad it's still in good hands. Thats why I had no worries about it going to Shaun. I'll be truthful, I was a bit sad seeing it go yesterday. It was a very sharp looking car. Quote
digitaloutsider Posted February 22, 2009 Report Posted February 22, 2009 Hey Chris, did you know the HUD lens is cracked? Quote
slick Posted February 23, 2009 Author Report Posted February 23, 2009 Damn.... no I did not. Steal it from the parts tgp! Quote
digitaloutsider Posted February 23, 2009 Report Posted February 23, 2009 Chris may not like that! I will be stealing the wastegate and actuator temporarily, though! One of the two are hosed. Quote
slick Posted February 23, 2009 Author Report Posted February 23, 2009 Ah.... so that's what the leak was then? Maybe from it sitting? It seemed fine about 3-4 months ago when I last drove it. Other than that, how did it pull when you got on it? Quote
digitaloutsider Posted February 23, 2009 Report Posted February 23, 2009 It pulls very nicely when it's not bucking and hesitating Quote
