So how did all the extra insulation effect the interior noise level?

No battery, hard to tell.

But the sound level, inside the car, seems to be much more dampened.

hmmm I was thinkin of taking the carpet right out this spring when I do my de-winter cleaning. I'll consider this for more quiet inside the car. That Flowmaster 40 can get on the nerves sometimes, but I doubt this would do much to mask that anyway.

May help some, but your best bet to quiet it down would be put some some actual sound deadener in the trunk floor, rear shock towers, and under the rear seat.

Yeah, I hear ya. In hindsight I wish I woulda squeezed a 50 series under there instead of these band-aid fixes I'm considering now.

Honestly, I'm a flooring manager, don't tell me about my own product!

You think it'll hold up/stay in place/etc? I guess you probably wont have it out too much in the rain/snow, so it wouldn't see moisture as much

Hey i work at menards too.. just got my profit sharing check! / end thread derail.

The new owner will take over from here. The car came with a trunk full, and backseat full of parts.

Decided to cut my losses before I got too much more into it. It just wasn't for me.

So let me tell you about driving a car with summer tires in the snow and slush.

Sucks, huh? There is no traction, even with 245s.

Wider the tire the worse it will be in snow. That's a fact.

x2 on tire width i drove a geo with 155 tires and it would go through anything

Glad it's still in good hands.

Thats why I had no worries about it going to Shaun.

I'll be truthful, I was a bit sad seeing it go yesterday. It was a very sharp looking car.

Chris may not like that!

I will be stealing the wastegate and actuator temporarily, though! One of the two are hosed.

Ah.... so that's what the leak was then? Maybe from it sitting? It seemed fine about 3-4 months ago when I last drove it.

Other than that, how did it pull when you got on it?
