oldscsc Posted September 29, 2008 Report Posted September 29, 2008 You could probably get custom made ones with custom embroidering on them for that much I think anyone who spends $100 on fabric you're going to be stepping on all the time has too much money. Quote

Garrett Powered Posted October 4, 2008 Author Report Posted October 4, 2008 I got some nos mats with the pontiac shield embroidered on them off e-bay and they were a perfect match for the grey interior tgp, for $85. thought I overpaid until I saw that they were that much for custom cut ones everywhere else. mine are not the exact shape but they look pretty good. I looked at lloyd mats that GOT2B GM mentioned because I want another set for the other tgp with grey interior, but the pontiac embroidery was not available for them even though it was a pontiac specialist mat maker they only had olds ones to choose from even though the pontiac one was pictured there on the page???? also the grey looked a little off. AL Posted October 4, 2008 Report Posted October 4, 2008 Do they still sell the NOS ones on EBAY? Quote
Dark Ride Posted October 4, 2008 Report Posted October 4, 2008 I would be willing to pay for a nice set of custom mats, but I wanted to get them embroidered (sp?) Grand Prix but it said that now people can't get them because of Copyright infringement. Quote
Garrett Powered Posted October 5, 2008 Author Report Posted October 5, 2008 Do they still sell the NOS ones on EBAY? I only saw that one set and snatched it up because I have never seen any nos floormats for sale anywhere before, let alone with the pontiac logo on them. so it will probably be highly unlikely that they will have any more of them unfortunately. but on another note I am thinking about cutting my own since I have bulk light gray carpet I ordered from parts express. I did it before for my old luxury van I used to have. It was easy, all I did was find a remnant matching piece for cheap at a carpet store and put the old mats on top, cut them to match the shape, then I just took some backing and spray glue and glued it to the back of it. I just used an old bathroom towel but you could use rubber or vinyl. then I took them down to a carpet store that does the binding around the edges and they just charged me by the foot to sew them on. It actually came out damn nice and I was stoked because they were very thick tight weave carpet and nicer than the stock ones by far. Quote
