waddlemasta Posted September 28, 2008 Report Posted September 28, 2008 Ok so I'm fixing vacuum lines and I can't find two parts on any diagram. There is a line connected to something that comes out of the plenum on the side that screws in and then runs down to the front of the trans into a big round piece. Question is what are these two things? Quote
ManicMechanic Posted September 28, 2008 Report Posted September 28, 2008 the big round thing on the trans is the vacuum modulator. Quote
waddlemasta Posted September 28, 2008 Author Report Posted September 28, 2008 ok if the line to or the modulator itself is bad would that cause the trans to slip in the higher RPM range and to shift hard at high RPM? Quote
waddlemasta Posted September 28, 2008 Author Report Posted September 28, 2008 Ah ok that explains a lot then now I just have to figure out how to pull that valve out and replace it. Just did a search on a how to and looked at the online manuals and can't find a how to on either one. Quote
ManicMechanic Posted September 28, 2008 Report Posted September 28, 2008 As I recall, there's an 8 or 10 mm bolt to a hold down bracket on the modulator and it just pops out. Quote
Addicted To Boost Posted September 29, 2008 Report Posted September 29, 2008 It should be a 10mm. Quote
