waddlemasta
Ok so I'm fixing vacuum lines and I can't find two parts on any diagram. There is a line connected to something that comes out of the plenum on the side that screws in and then runs down to the front of the trans into a big round piece. Question is what are these two things?
ManicMechanic
the big round thing on the trans is the vacuum modulator.
waddlemasta
ok if the line to or the modulator itself is bad would that cause the trans to slip in the higher RPM range and to shift hard at high RPM?
ManicMechanic
Yes, it would.
waddlemasta
Ah ok that explains a lot then now I just have to figure out how to pull that valve out and replace it. Just did a search on a how to and looked at the online manuals and can't find a how to on either one.
ManicMechanic
As I recall, there's an 8 or 10 mm bolt to a hold down bracket on the modulator and it just pops out.
Addicted To Boost
It should be a 10mm.
