Did you say that Fram oil filters are the worst?

:shock: Did I read on this forum that fram oil filters are shitty? Damn it, because thats all I ever used on my Cutty! I use the sure grip. So what other filter is easy to take off with your hand(Ihave no wrench)? And why are there filters so bad?

I stab a flathead screwdriver thru the filter and use the screwdriver as a handle to spin it off. A bit messier, but hey... violence is fun.

I tried that driving a screwdriver thru the filter and twisting. The thin shells on some filters just peels like a sardine lid and then I thought I would never get it off.

advance auto has a new line of filters, we(me and my buddy at the store) are trying to find out who they are made by. they cost the same as the purolators do and have the grip stuff covering the entire filter.
