Rearview mirror swap question

So my rearview mirror in my 02 monte was the donelly auto dim piece of shit. i got rid of it because it was weak and every time the bass would hit it would juss go all the way down. not to mention the bass prolly killed the auto dimmer because that stopped working too. so i went to the jy and got a mirror out of an 04 base impala which just had the map lights which is all i need. it also is a donelly with the 7 pin connector. only thing is my map lights dont work, the mirror i got has only three pins on the back but the wires on the harness match up but there are extra wires on the harness because my old mirror had all 7 pins. could the bulbs be dead or what?

That or you may have to run a wire to make the light to work, to were im not sure.
