Z34guy Posted October 1, 2008 Report Share Posted October 1, 2008 the manual says you can tow up to 1000 pounds with the 3.1 and the 3.4 except for the convertible 3.4 the owner's manuals I have seen say nothing with the 3.4 period It's not in the manual. It's in the dealer brochure. I have the entire brochure for 1995 Chevy Passenger cars (including the Monte Carlo). it said the LQ1's towing capability was only 1,000lbs. but my '95 Z34 had no problem pushing my sister's '97 Concorde up a 75* hill after the Concorde pretty much died at a stoplight. That's easily 3-4,000 pounds (including the crap she had in the Chrysler)... no tranny problems yet with the 4T60e. And then it towed (yes. towed) my Aunt's '95 Chevy Tahoe back to her house after she ran out of gas. thats 6-8,000lbs... still no problems... and BTW, we're parting out the Chrysler...
