mrl390 Posted September 20, 2008 Report Posted September 20, 2008 Does anyone know if the exhaust on a 1st gen lumina z34 would be the same as the exhaust on my 97 mc z34? Quote
Crazy K Posted September 20, 2008 Report Posted September 20, 2008 there would be a few differences, even in the gen 1 z34s. what year is the donor? most likely, anything could work, but the gen 1.5 Z34 exhaust is less restrictive IMO. Quote
mrl390 Posted September 20, 2008 Author Report Posted September 20, 2008 Im talking routing and mounting. Someone on another forum is having catback systems made using his lumina Z34's exhaust as a template. I want to be sure the system will work on my car. Quote
55trucker Posted September 20, 2008 Report Posted September 20, 2008 The piping routing is slightly different near the rear on the later models because of the different designs of the rear suspensions on the two cars. The 1st gen car makes use of a transverse mono spring which takes up more room under the car then the later Monte Carlo's rear strut suspension. Quote

mrl390 Posted September 20, 2008 Author Report Posted September 20, 2008 Yeah, same person, same system. I didnt know he was on this forum too. So if there is LESS room under the older cars in the back, then I should have plenty of room on my car right? Quote
