Anyone know where the Vacuum Solenoid Valve for the HVAC is located in my 89 Cutlass?

THANKS!:)

In the dash, kind of above that RH electrical center that has all the circuit breakers in it.

I'm confused...isn't the RH Electrical Center the place under the glove box that has all the fuses in it??

No, I'm talking about the one with the dinger and hazard flasher.

You have to remove the black plastic panel underneath to get to it.

OK, so I just remove the hard black plastic peice under the passenger side dash area, and I should see it? I already have my entire dash apart due to painting etc...but I didn't remove that peice...

Yeah, I think it's above that electrical center or near it. It has small colored vacuum lines on it, I think you can't miss it.

OK great, thanks!:)

And hey, while I'm at it, the reason I wanted to know was because I'm trying to think of which vacuum source I am going to hook(T into) my AutoMeter Vacuum gauge to??

This Saturday I am having an AutoMeter A/F Ratio and Vacuum gauge installed in place of my factory ash tray location...I just want to find the BEST place to T the Vacuum gauge into though...I'm thinking the MAP Sensor and Vacuum Modulator are too far into the engine bay to do it sucessfully and without a lot of "bends" in the vacuum line...so I figured since the HVAC Solenoid is located INSIDE the car, and gets the exact same vacuum source as the FP Regulator and MAP Sensor(via the TB), might as well just use that...

Any thoughts?

I really don't know. You could try it and see! I would just wonder if your readings would be accurate if the gauge is downstream of something that uses vacuum.
