jake91
The guy who owns it walked by me as I was walking back to my car one row adjacent, and I managed to catch him as he was getting in, and confirmed it was a repaint. I told him about the website, but didn't have a damned card to give him, so he probably won't join here. He was looking pretty suspiciously at me, but in a "holy shit this guy's nuts" kind of way rather than a "fuck I'm going to call the police this pedo is taking pictures of my VIN number!!!" kind of way. i could see that

ChurBoywithALLthemGRANDS
Naahh....already got it, and with much better condition front seats. Â Â Â Â Â Those seats, in the Blue '91 "GT" coupe look like they were reupolstered. I've never seen ones that did not DISTINCTLY show the cloth inbetween the two (adjustable) cushions on the bottom part...? They look like they were rewrapped..? Â Dude- WHERE DID YOU GET THAT "MINT" AQ9 INTERIOR!!!?? That's just AWESOME man..WOW! (I have a near BRAND NEW set of leather for a '96-'98 Grand Am GT coupe, in dark charcoal...I thought THAT was rare!) dayyyaaammmmnn! Â Nice seats... Â That Blue GT is sooooo friggin rare! I thought ALL of the AQ9 seats had CLOTH and leather.  They made em with VINYL and leather, also you're saying ???

I dont know if any of the GP's came with full leather AQ9's, but the cutlass' were half leather half vinyl. Come to think of it, i think most GM's, minus maybe the buicks and cadillacs are leather/vinyl.

Like I said earlier in the thread, they're from a GP GT. I came across it in a junkyard a few years back. Some of you may remember the story about how me and my buddy got locked in the yard while trying to remove it.

The vinyl actually holds up much better in my opinion, but it's not too nice in the winter or summer months, basically all months. When I was a kid my dad had a black vinyl Duster and I remember pulling my shorts down to that they'd pretty much leave underwear exposed at the back to try and shield my legs from the hot vinyl some days
Addicted to eaton
There RPO code was : Z7M  Here are the production numbers for years 1990-1994 (that is the only years they were made)   1991 = 3,789 out if 45,046 cars total  1992 = 2,255 out of 46,121 cars total  1993 = 1,242 out of 39,860!   Some gt only things are: RPO code : T93, E29,  Tail lamps and something with door handel, and gt suspension ?  http://www.compnine.com/vid.php?vin=1g2wp14t7mf243604
jeremy
FWIW: there was a '95 GT as well, they were all sedans, normally very well optioned, and also the LQ1 .....Ross had one before he ended up buying his Petty
pontiacmaniac94
there was also a "GT" in 1994 as well, i have the seats out of it to prove it
Addicted to eaton
I knew that. But they were all 4 doors. And the rpo code is different.
ss427
Are these production figures confirmed? I contacted Allied Vaughn a few months ago for an invoice for my Z34, and in the process they mailed me complete breakdowns of all the Chevy and Olds model/RPO totals, but some of it didn't agree with the stats on the compnine site. digitaloutsider
The RPO is not Z7M, at least definitely not in 1990. There was no "GT" in 1990.
Addicted to eaton
I was Really wondering about 1990. But from 91-93 the gt's rpo code is z7m
BXX
there was also a "GT" in 1994 as well, i have the seats out of it to prove it  The HUD dash and HUD setup outta a 94 GT is in my old 96 CS (now owned by Venom)  Full optioned. Red, LQ1, louvers, FE3, HUD, DIC, SWRC, Spoiler, Leather, Sunroof, CD
Addicted to eaton
Can someone get me a vin of the next GT they see? 94-
redmetrix
It would be interesting to see a further breakdown of the GT's for 91, 92, and 93 as far as how they were optioned; because a GT could be had with a rather large range of option combinations. Through the years of checking out GT coupes for sale, I noticed that most are 91's less are 92's and even less are 93's which follows right with the original production numbers. Â Say that half of the 93's had a 3.1 that other half had the LQ1 for example, and only half of the LQ1's had the B4U, making it a GTP, that would mean 300 or so GTP's for 93 which could be very true. One guy on cardomain has got a 5 speed 93 GTP, he's owned it since 1995 and says it is 1 of 47! Not sure were be got this number but sounds right to me. Â The 93 GTP that I had had a unique choice of options, meaning that it was a basic GT with B4U and the 3.4, but really nothing else, no leather, no hud, no sunroof, no DIC. MOST of the GTP's that I've have seen have the HUD and DIC at least.
