Addicted2bass
Is this all factory system? If it has/had a bose system the wires would run to an amp. But if it was removed it should have been rewired and the wires should be behind the radio. Test them with a tone generator or a battery. 94Z34OWNR
It did have the bose system. The amp and radio had been removed.I put an aftermarket headunit and speakers in it.The dash and rear speakers work, but the ones in the doors dont. They are hooked up but for some reason they won't work.I've checked all the wires behind the radio and none seem to go to the door speakers. The wires in the dash speakers have been changed.I'm thinking they might have been connected to those, but the person that changed them never hooked them back up.I wish i knew exactly how they were setup from the factory. Andrew
just run some new wire yourself. save all the hassle and guesswork. also, i dunno of many aftermarket HU's that are designed to run 6 speakers. so unless you are going to run a crossover, things wont work right. Crazy K
the factory bose system had NO dash speakers. and the front speakers were fed off of the amp IIRC.
94Z34OWNR
Thats weird because i have a pair of 4x6's in the front,6x9's in the back, and 4 inchers in the door.
Andrew
there were still provisions there for the dash speakers since its the same dash as non Bose cars, but with the Bose setup they did not install any speakers there. so whoever had your car before installed those. 94Z34OWNR
O ok i understand what you're saying. The problem's solved now.I just removed the kicker panels and spliced the wires back there to mine own and ran them to the radio.Everything is working now. Thanks to everybody who responded to my question.
