1990lumina
I'm still trying to get my Lumina idling right. Today I have some time to look at some other things. I've noticed on the HVAC when I want to switch from "Defrost" to "Mix" I have to first hit the "Heat" setting so the air blows onto the floor, and then hit "Mix". Otherwise it'll go to the "Mix" setting but quickly go back to "Deforst". Because I have what seems like a vacuum leak, and the vacuum ball sort of helps or runs the HVAC i'm wodering if I have a small leak in the ball or something. ManicMechanic
It's quite possible that the ball is broken or the line from the check valve to the ball is broken. They usually are.
1990lumina
What is inside that ball though? I'm just curious as to how it works.
88red4cyl
Not to hijack your thread, but where is the vacuum ball at? I need to look at mine as well...

1990lumina
Well I pulled the line off the vacuum ball and it went "SSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" so lots of reserve in there (car hasn't been running for a week or so). I'm going to pull the uper plenum and ohm out the injectors and see if they are leaking or not. Anyone have an extra set of injectors they want to sell?? I did that other test of the injectors where you test all three (two connectors by the ECM). The black connector I got 86ohms, and the gray connector was OL lol. Mayb something is wrong with them.
