tdvs
Just had a new cat installed. Want to install a new O2 sensor as suggested in an early post. GM or discount parts store?

tdvs
Thanks Chris, But don't have credit cards anymore for on-line purchases. Also would like to do today if possible. Since discuont parts stores listed on rockauto show Bosch, guess it's GM?
5speedz34
What? Bosch isn't GM. I put a Bosch O2 sensor in my car, not that I would do it again but I haven't had any problems.

Q-Ball
So I should return my Bosch O2 sensor and get an AC Delco? I only thought it was plugs that were bad from bosch for our cars.
tdvs
Totally spaced on the debit card - AC Delco thru rockauto sounds like the hot lash. Just an after thought.....Is 50K the normal life span for a catalytic converter? Had some issues repaired B4 final bad cat diagnosis.........Car runs sweet now. Thanks all Tom
digitaloutsider
Cats shouldn't ever fail. Something else is wrong with the car.
tdvs
I love my '95 CS vert, but that GP is the hot lash!!! WOW!!! Very Nice!!! Initial diagnosis was bad vaccum lines. Found several, one at a time, but with each one repaired, the car would run even worse, till it almost wouldn't run at all. Finally it was diagnosed as bad cat. Had it replaced 1 1/2 months ago. Running perfect since, but replacing O2 sensor this week-end just for good measure. Problem solved? If the car is running fine, or seens to be, how do I know if there's still something wrong? Also, previous owner put it away the last 10-11 winters, but don't think he took any special precautions. Would that have anything to do with anything? Had just come out of winter hibernation when I buoght it 6 months ago. Thanks Tom
