Euro
Hey all, I have a few problems that I need steered in the right direction. I'm not sure if they're all related, or if they're separate things. First, about a week or so ago I started having this vibration in the front end. It only happens on take off(from a light/stop sign....pretty much any time I hit the gas pedal between 0-15mph). Second thing, today was the first time the car's seen the highway and related speeds(70mph) in a long time, probably since late May. I have a slight steering wheel shimmy at all times above, 65ish, and it gets a tad worse when turning the wheel to make a pass or go around a curve or something. The last thing, I have a groaning sound that comes from the front passenger side also when taking off from a dead stop. It happens about 5-10 minutes after I start driving, and it doesn't do it when the wheel's turned upon accelerating from a stop, only when the wheel's straight. It's not a constant groan, it seems like it only does it at a certain spot in sync with the rolling tire. Now, at the store tonight I did a quick look in the wheel well and nothing appeared to be out of whack. The axle boots didnt seem to be ripped, and I didn't see any wetness on them either. Any ideas? The car's going in sometime this coming week to get my fucking oil leak looked at so I'll throw this in their face as well. Thanks all!!!! LuminaPower92
Shimmy might have a wheel Out of Balance, could give that a shot. Possibly also a bead in the tire seperated.
kwk39018
Could be a wheel bearing.
Euro
Better not be a tire bead separation. These tires are only 10k miles old

LuminaPower92
BFG Traction T/A's Dooood, lemme tell you. I had a BIG problem with those on my MX6. Started getting noisy as crap almost like a bad hub bearing. I sold the car before spending any money on them. I sold it with almost 9/32s on the tires! 5speedz34
^Werd. Rotate and balance. It sounds to me that its a wheel bearing though.

Breakdown
BFG Traction T/A's Dooood, lemme tell you. I had a BIG problem with those on my MX6. Started getting noisy as crap almost like a bad hub bearing. I sold the car before spending any money on them. I sold it with almost 9/32s on the tires! I had a pair last me 110K miles (and then one of the belts seperated) so they had to be replaced. I still was nice enough to phone BFG and complain. Now I have their touring tires for the second time on a car. I like 'em.
