Stevo
My neighbor has a 99' Regal Sedan. She puts her 'signal light on' and into the turn the car dies. She took it to the local shop and they drove it around without a problem. She gets it home and drives it into the driveway and *poof* dead on the turn. I call a bad signal switch, although I never thought it could be THAT bad beyond some non working signals or horn not working. She called the shop and they said they would look at it again and maybe disable the 'security feature on it'. I'm like ... wtf? She claims the signals are working fine though which throws me a bit. Anyone think of anything?
Night Fury
I think YOU should drive it.
rockfangd
sounds like a bad ignition switch. they were very shitty around that year. i have done a few GPs that had similair issues
Stevo
Hmmm ... my 2002 is giving me issues. When I park it, sometimes it won't release my key from the ignition. Sometimes I have to put it into neutral and release the parking brake, shove it into park with the brake on and it will release the key. Then I can put the e-brake on. I wonder wtf is going on there? Think it's the same thing?
rockfangd
no that sounds like a bad shift cable or ignition cylinder. Is it column shift? Deos the shifter feel like it is binding
Stevo
It's a GTP with console shift. There is no issue with shifting.
