sonick
As the title says, my 3.1 stalls semi-regularly when shifting into reverse on cold starts. Once it stalls, and I re-start it and shift into Reverse, it either hesitates a bit and goes into gear, or it works fine and shifts into gear. I've searched previous threads about O2 sensors etc. being possible issues, but I just recently (2 days ago) seafoamed it and changed the oil (yesterday) and it still did it this morning. Odd it only happens on cold starts. Never happened when shifting into drive on cold (though 99% of the time when the engine is cold I am backing OUT of the garage/work parking spot). Also the tranny slips/surges on occasion when doing sharp left turns or accelerating on a hill (not sure if related), but that could just be the tranny showing its age.
