Captain Ficho
For the record, I have the iConnects amp installation kit. Today I was giving my buddies car a boost and to get to my positive battery terminal I had to unscrew the bolt that goes into amp power terminal (at the battery) and unhook the amp wire. When doing so, I put the bolt on top of the washer fluid resevoir and boosted the car. When going to put the bolt back on, I fumbled with it and dropped it into my engine compartment. Oops. I was just wondering if anyone would have any idea what size bolt I'm looking for? It kinda sucks not having my thumping bass and I don't want to keep trying different bolts until I finally find the right sized one.
slick
Generally, any hardware store should lend you a bolt to walk out to your vehicle to find out.
Addicted2bass
You have the replacement side post adapter right? I can check at work tomorrow what size the bolts on those are. Did you try fishing for it in the engine compartment? If you can see it but not reach it a magnet tool really helps. For future reference, when jumping a car you can use the AUX positive terminal and ground it to the motor mount bolt or a bolt on the strut tower. WAY easier the trying to get cables on the terminals.
Artemis
You don't have the seperate positive terminal post above the battery? Or is that just for LQ1 powered W-bodies?
Addicted2bass
His car has it, but its better to go to the battery directly. That being said u have my power wire on the AUX post and have had no problems.
