weird problem, dont know what to do

s you all know i have had some problems with my 94 cutlass 3100 lately and i seem to have them mostly fixed except this new one. I am afraid that if i dont figure it out i am going to get stranded for sure.

When i attempt to start the car it fires then stalls, sometimes up to 15 times before it will stay running. It is weird, it fires but does not stay running, so when it finally does start to run normally it revs up to burn the gas from all of the attempts. I also noticed tonight that when i first backed out of my driveway it almost stalled when i accelerated. Now for the past week it has been running fine besides the starting issue but sometimes when i try to slow down for a stop light/ sign the rpms will drop to 0 then go up and down almost stalling until i fully stop.

There is no problems with acceleration and it seems to have a lot of power, but when i try to slow down it acts up. There appears to be no misfires, and no SES. Has anyone ever come across something like this before Below is a list of things i have checked and replaced. Thanks to all help in advance

Fuel pressure is at 37 psi

fuel filter has 1000 miles on it

plugs changed saturday. a few days old

plug wires are 2 months old,

coil packs 8 months old

thanks i am up to any useful advice, someone said it may be the PCM, fuel injectors, oil sending unit, etc.....

well tonight i did some extensive tests with my scan tool and checked sensor ranges, Egr 1,2,3, o2s, yadda yadda... well long story short when i attemped to change the idle with the scan tool via the IAC whether i adjusted it up or down, the idle never changed. I put it all the way up to 2000 and all the way down to 500 but my idle never changed. so i am going to say it is confirmed that it is the IAC. I just have to come up with the money for another one  Thanks everyone

ok well the day before yesterday it refused to stay running so i went and got a new IAC and when i pulled the old IAC this time it was maxxed out??? So i put the new one in, did my idle relearn and drove 100 miles yesterday and it runs perfect  I dont really know what exactly would make a fairly new IAC malfunction like mine did but it appears to be all fixed for now lol. Thanks for all the help from everyone. There was never a SES light on during any of the problems either lol. When i ran some tests with my scantool i came up with the IAC also.

My 3100 has alot of power but my only complaint is that when you are already going it doesnt pick up great. So if i am doing 45 and hit it i feel like i am driving a hybrid lol
