dohc v6
How did you get the pedals out. I know how to get as far as taking the cluster out, top dash, etc. But how did you get the main part out to expose the pedals? Also being a 96 OBD II wiring harness what do I need to do to the wiring?
ismellrealbad
the entire dash needs to come out.....anything you see, remove it. all the hvac stuff behind it can stay. remove the entire pedal assembly with the bracket, not just the pedals. This is what you will be removing, as a whole, with the firewall plate on. plate can be detached after removing to swap on the 5spd plate if necessary... dohc v6
here is a question. GM- the dealership, owes me an oil pan gasket. I had them replace it and it still leaks. So What I would like to do is have them swap the tranny over when they do the pan gasket. Is there anything that needs to be done in the engine bay other than the tranny, the mounts, ect. Can I swap the pedals with out removing the engine?
gpchris
For the pedals youll have to remove the master cyl but you can leave the engine in. Pedals will probably the hardest since the entire dash has to go. Also what will be hard is modifying your pcm to run a manual trans. I have yet to find a obd2 5speed swapper that has a decently running engine..
dohc v6
I was told that HP tuners will be really easy. I have to talk to shane.
White93z34
swaping the trans is not as easy as remove and replace. not by a long shot. you have to literally convert the car.
