xtremerevolution
the ones that crack x2 Way too many crossdrilled brakes crack all the time. I've seen photos of cracked crossdrilled rotors off a porsche. I have Powerstop cross"drilled" rotors on the regal and combined with Bendix CT-3 pads, they greatly improved braking over stock brakes. Looking back now, I wonder if the pads made the biggest difference instead of the rotors. I'll really never know till these rotors need to be replaced, if ever. I'd say if you want better braking power and don't want to put on bigger rotors with new calipers, just get high performance pads and call it a day, because decent "drilled" rotors are $90 apiece. Hairdo12
Cross drilled is stupid for road cars imo. It weakens the rotor by default also it takes away too much surface area. Slotted only rotors are your best choice for our cars if you ask me. The only thing I think drilled rotors are good for is the look. I was always iffy about Ebay rotors, however I did some research and I found that v12motorsports has an excellent product. I gave them a try and I was not disapointed. I just have autozone duralast lifetime pads on and there is no doubt a difference in stopping power. Just a picture I snapped before I did my bearing plate, shows the rotor:
LuminaPower92
I got slotted Gm Performance Rotors on my White Lumina front and rear, along with Ceramic Pads. Love em.

slick
Standard rotors with some sort of premium pad has worked plenty well enough for me.
Euro
I'm happy with my R1 concepts drilled/slotted rotors. They stop better than the Bendix rotors I had on before.

Chancho
Cross drilled rotors aid in stoping in water/wet rotors, it allows the steam from the water evaporating to exit from the braking surface. sloted rotors clean the pad surface after every pass, aids in stoping... as far as performance are concerned... u never see drilled and sloted togather on a top quality performance rotor its either one or another... drilled are in my oppnion better drilled is the only type found on performance cars such as benz, porsche, and some bmw's I've seen photos of cracked crossdrilled rotors off a porsche. that porsche was prob doing a 150 to zero stop with the petal to the flor then tried it again to get those rotors to crack... Yeah I suppose that might be true. I'd imagine you could get just about any rotor to crack after enough hard stops, and I for one won't be going that crazy with my rotors in city driving.
