GPX Posted July 22, 2008 Report Posted July 22, 2008 I'll leave out the long part of this story (I know, how unlike me). I bought a Duplicolor caliper paint kit before I joined this forum. Then I read here that people weren't too impressed with them. I was, and here's why: Some time last fall my ABS started acting really flakey and by winter, when you need it most, the ABS basically didn't work. It would turn the ABS off within a minute of taking off almost every time I drove. When I finally got around to using the paint kit, it was easy to use, yielded great results, and the insanely dangerous spray-on cleaner that did such a good job cleaning the outside of the caliper must have inadvertantly cleaned my sensors, because now my ABS works great! And since you always want pictures, here's the before: Notice to the left where I put holes in my plastic fender-inner with a spade this winter, trying to bust some ice outta there. It was rubbing! I did a temporary fix with duct tape and undercoating--it's still holding up EVEN AFTER POWER WASHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Here's the after:It's been a couple of months and still sprays-off with the hose and looks good. Haven't noticed any paint coming off. Quote
