Sidewinder Posted July 10, 2008 Report Posted July 10, 2008 I just got mine installed, the front that is as I am waiting on the bracket for the rear. I have a question about it though. I installed mine with the brackets that ZZP sells for it, been working great. However I noticed yesterday that when you put the car in reverse, the alternator actually smacks the bar if you put too much gas too it. It sounds terrible, but I think a lot of the noise is vibration from the engine transferring into the bar and its resonating (this is a 3100 by the way). Has anyone else had this issue, if so how did you go about fixing it? I know that I can just reverse gently, and I do now but not everyone will, especially if I need to bring it in for service. I don't want them reverse like a bat out of hell and damaging something. Quote
Brian P Posted July 10, 2008 Report Posted July 10, 2008 crazy question, but did you install the bar with the angled-side facing forward? Quote
Sidewinder Posted July 10, 2008 Author Report Posted July 10, 2008 crazy question, but did you install the bar with the angled-side facing forward? D'OH! Apparently in my exciment to get the thing on I failed to realize that it was angled and that needed to be forward. Now that it is installed properly and not backwards its working great Here's to excited stupidity overcoming proper thought! LOL Quote
Brian P Posted July 10, 2008 Report Posted July 10, 2008 haha, cool, at least it was an easy fix Quote
