alphagtp
fist of all, one question, when using the 180* T-stat the gauge goes above 180*?? now, this is my second "new" thermostat after I couldt figureout what was wrong with the first one, I tought it was the actual tstat but this one is kind of the same: it goes up and down like crazy. I did the whole bleed a few times and nothing, what else could be wrong? or is it just normal??
Andrew
yes it will stil go above 180, and the gauge isnt exactly accurate either. as for the other thing, well that just sounds like air to me.
CSI_MuNkY
The LQ1 can be a bitch to get bubbles out of the cooling system, I've had to do it twice... If you don't want your engine to heat up as much you could change the temp at which your fans come on. Jamie
gp13069
you may need to get A vaccum pump to get out the air. i only seen it done twice it seam to work well both time's

95 vert
My Cutlass with a 3.4 had a bleeder screw on the heater pipe by the brake booster and using it took all the air out. The bleeder by the t-stat wouldn't get all the air out and my temp gauge would fluctuate also.
