Bake82
Ok...the 88 Cutlass Supreme parts car I picked up had dual fans. Now when I was taking out the wiring harness today, I noticed a connecter and plug I've never seen on a w-body before. It was a plug near the coolant temp sensor on the LIM. I'm wondering if this plug is a sensor for the secondary cooling fan to tell it when to turn on? I can get a picture tomorrow if it will help, but I'm totally confused as to what it is, and this is the only thing I can think of! Thanks for any help! Brian P
Early 1988's had a separate fuel cut-off switch, which later on became part of the oil pressure sensor. More than likely this is what you see. It screws into the block, on top near the intake manifolds.
IRONDOG442
The secondary fan only comes on when you are running your ac compressor !!

FACK!! thats probably what it is........how hard will this be to modify to work with a 88 that had this incorporated within the Oil Pressure sensor? I think it's as easy as sending that wire down to the '89+ style oil pressure sensor. It's just a on/off switch, nothing crazy. Not sure of the pinout at the oil sensor but mayyyyybe the wire color will match up.
