Cherry Bomb vs Vibrant glasspacks?

OK, so aside form the obvious (Vibrant being 304SS) I need to figure out why the Cherry Bomb glass pack is over $60 less than the Vibrant.

Currently I'm running a 12" Vibrant resonator, I want to get rid of the rasp but keep the magnaflow sound from the mufflers, so I'm looking at longer resonator.

The Vibrant I looked at today is $110 + tax, 2.5" in and out, 18" body.

The Cherry Bomb one is $36 + tax, 2.5" in and out, 26" body

Has anyone ever heard the 2 on a LQ1?

My brother has a cherry bomb on his 2.5L DOHC Mazda, and I don't mind the sound from it. I know it will be different, but its the only car I KNOW has one on it.

Glasspacks are a type of muffler, the Vibrant is a true resonator. they're designed to supress different frequencies. the resonator offers the most sound deadening IMO, and should be used with mufflers.

also, they are not that expensive on Ebay. i bought one there just fine.

Yeah, same one I just priced out... Matt just got that ebay one, shipped to Canada and then you get the brokerage fees, I might as well just get the one I priced out today at Canadian Tire.

I have cherry bomb glasspacks, love the sound at idle and WOT but around 2-3k it gets pretty raspy. It is a pretty loud setup, if you are looking for somthing to sneak around with get somthing else, if you want people to take notice, go for it!

I ordered the Vibrant tonight.Turns out the dumb ass at Canadian Tire priced me out an Ultra Quiet muffler instead of glasspack. The guy tonight was able to give me more information and a picture of the glasspack, and it was almost $20 less! SCORE! so yeah, my Vibrant Res should be here by the end of the week.

That 2500ish rasp is what I'm trying to get rid of, the 12" res isn't enough I guess...
