EviLette
So yeah, it's getting to be about the time that I need to put a new set of mufflers on my GP. It's been four years, they aren't rusting through, but they are definitely rusty. I can grab some better pictures if you like, but here's what they looked like a couple months back with my crappy cameraphone. I'm trying to figure out what all I can use... I really, REALLY like the way they sound now. I'll grab a video to illustrate here in a few, once I'm up and around. I've been hunting around, trying to get exhaust clips of new mufflers behind 3.1/3100s to get an idea of what I'm looking for in sound.. because flat out, I love the sound of my exhaust. It's not really LOUD per se, but it does get kind of up there in resonation around.. oh, around 3k rpm on a slow climb. Anyways, if anybody has links to exhaust clips laying around, that would be super sweet. I want to get rid of my cat, but with moving to Missouri, I know that's not going to be an option.. and I'm probably going to have to replace the one I already have on there... which is factory, I'm 99.99999% sure. But yeah. Any ideas?

EviLette
That was the effect I was hoping for. I know I'll never have v8 sound out of it, so I'm not kidding myself. I like a subtle purring at idle, with deep resonation that increases in volume as you accelerate. Yeah, typical exhaust. LOL.

mra32
I've been extremely happy with my Summit welded chamber muffler that I got for $40. It sounds deep and all of my friends are jealous of how my car sounds. Its a 2-1/4 offset inlet with 2-1/4 offset outlet. I'll try to get sound clips up. From what I've been hearing, I'm thinking Flowmaster 40 series is what I'm going to want... Just as a comparisin, thats what I have now. Rusting GM mufflers and factory piping ftw. Rdrckt_92
I have flowmaster 40's on my gp, I think it sounds pretty good, it does drone on the highway. you may want to consider a resonator too
Andrew
I have dual 40 series delta flow flowmasters and they pwn... I will try to get a nice vid tomorrow.. i second the Delta flow's!!! they still sound great but the interior resonance is much lower than the standard 40's. I will try to get a nice vid tomorrow.. i second the Delta flow's!!! they still sound great but the interior resonance is much lower than the standard 40's. True 40s on my white Lumi. It sounds better on that one then my Euro, we followed the stock exhaust over the rear axle, then split to two mufflers. Sounds great. The euro much more raspy followed the Z34 exhaust. BXX
^^ Yours is pretty loud, but not a very mellow tone... 2.8/3.1s tend to be like that... 3x00s sounds much smoother..
