I'm sure its quite simple, first start of the day or when the enigne is cold, it sounds rough and will buck and jolt when accelerating. After the car is warm,ed up it runs perfect. Could this just be a set of plugs? Car only has 47,000km.

47,00km or not the plugs are as old as the car, and if it has been stored and only run at idle, they well could be no good by now. Check a few and report back.

No the car does not idel high, it idels normal but with a stumble for I would say a minute of ddriving once it warms up it runs perfect. The plugs are as old as the car and are original lol.

47,000km is only about 29,000miles so i would not say it is overdue, but with the history of the car sitting for a long time, i'd say it is time.

Thanks man, I'm changing them today I'll let everyone know how it goes. So for the back 3 it's a little different than my LS Lumina, I dont have to remove the plenum. Can I just sneak a socket back there or?

Unbolt the dogbone and back the car onto ramps. When you put it in park, the car will roll forward onto the park pin in the trans, and the whole powertrain will rotate forward.

Use a 12" long 3/8 drive extension, and you can pull all 3 rear plugs.

Ac delco

Oh, and you'll need to pull off the weatherstripping behind the plenum also.

Awesome, thanks man! So it's up to the Chevrolet dealership to get those, and the weatherstripping should come off no problem, I put Ben's Chip in yesterday and HOLY FUCK! hahaha

FYI - the factory service interval (certainly on a '92) for plugs is 30,000 miles. Since this car wasn't driven much, there may be carbon load up where the insulator joins the plug body.

Recommend new plugs and drive the car on a longer highway run to clear up any potential carbon build up (esp. EGR) and then see how it runs.

My bad, I totally missed that it was km not mi, HOWEVER... with the car still being on factory plugs, the mileage is pretty much irrelevant because its obviously not been driven a whole lot. Like someone else said, carbon buildup, etc, from not getting hot enough. I think thats what keeps a lot of our cars alive anymore, we still drive the hell out of them.

That is very true, my CS rarely sees a nights rest and when I'm driving it, I drive it hard. Still going strong too. I think that is part of the key of keeping them alive, not driving them like a granny.
