9lumina6 Posted July 2, 2008 Report Posted July 2, 2008 I bought a boddle of simple green....because i have heard really good things about it in the passed. I was wondering if anyone has cleaned the engine bay w/ it? My Z-34 needs to be de-greeced in some spots under there.....and i was wondering if i just spray it on....let it sit... and spray off, or do i have to lightly mist the engine bay w/ water....spray on the simple green, then spray it w/ water again? Any input would b appreciated...thanks!! Quote
Addicted To Boost Posted July 2, 2008 Report Posted July 2, 2008 I use simple green all the time to clean my engine bays and wheels. Just hose off the surface you are going to clean, then spray the surface with simple green. Let it sit for a minute or so, then scrub it a bit with a brush and hose it off. If the stuff is really stuck on there, you may have to let it soak longer. Quote
1990lumina Posted July 2, 2008 Report Posted July 2, 2008 I let it sit for five minutes or so, then scrub, then put my Simple Green on, wait, scrub and rinse. Quote
9lumina6 Posted July 2, 2008 Author Report Posted July 2, 2008 I brought the Z-34 out in the back yard and put it by the big ass spot light in the back of my house and did the motor and the wheels.......man does it make those wheels look good....and i just quick did the top of the motor and it looks good.... next time i wash/wax the cat i'll go under the hood and give it a little more attension when its light out. But yeah....1st time ever using it and did a quick job w/ it and im impressed....i cant wait to see what itl look like when i get a couple hours on a nice day to really do some scrubbing w/ it. Quote
