19Cutlass94 Posted June 29, 2008 Report Posted June 29, 2008 Well today I finially got a chance to hook up our WB02 to my car, to see where I was in terms of AFR with the 3400. In open loop at idle, im reading ~13.5AFR. In closed loop at idle, im reading ~14.4-15.0AFR. at crusing speed, Im reading ~14.4-15.0AFR and the big one, at about 5300RPM, im reading ~12.4AFR. ( didnt go WOT here, but was very cose ) With this cam, and port and polish, the engine never ran lean. So I think this proves that this cam can be run on any OBD1.5 3100/3400swapped car. ohh, and when going WOT, first gear is useless. Quote
PCGUY112887 Posted July 1, 2008 Report Posted July 1, 2008 I'm very surprised, with mine everything was crazy lean after my swap, had to add TONS of fuel with the Powrtuner to get it back into spec. Quote
BXX Posted July 1, 2008 Report Posted July 1, 2008 He is running a tad lean at cruise... I would love to see what a datalog of his looks like.. Something tells me there are some lean areas that he isnt seeing where he could add fuel and more timing and get more power.. Quote

Thats probably one reason why. But at idle, the ECM lengthened the IPW from 2.8 to 3.8sec. And thats just idle. Quote
z34Phoenix Posted July 1, 2008 Report Posted July 1, 2008 15.0 doesnt sound lean to me... remeber the af bounces in closed loop anyway. .5 in each direction is perfictly fine. i would go as far to say 14.0 to 15.5 is well with in spec and nothing to worry about. Quote
Brian P Posted July 2, 2008 Report Posted July 2, 2008 looks like a decent/easy cam to tune for. Good to know! Quote
19Cutlass94 Posted July 3, 2008 Author Report Posted July 3, 2008 and lately Ive been averaging anywhere from 21-24MPG, depending on how much/often I step into it, and how much Ive been using the AC Quote
