5speedz34 Posted June 23, 2008 Report Posted June 23, 2008 Read Title. I have a cheap steam cleaner, what carpet cleaner should I use? Discuss! Quote
GOT2B GM Posted June 23, 2008 Report Posted June 23, 2008 If you have the time and the means, remove the carpet from the car and hit it with a pressure washer. I would imagine any household carpet shampoo would work fairly well with your carpet steamer. Something made by Bissell or similar brand? Quote
slick Posted June 23, 2008 Report Posted June 23, 2008 Wait, didn't we have this topic like less than a year ago? The Bissel brand works well in my experience, but pressure washing the carpet works best. Quote

This is for my truck, I don't know if I have the means to remove the carpet not to mention the seats are a bitch to remove (GM in their infinite wisdom made one of the bolts on both seats Torx and they go through the floor and generally rust out). Also the pressure washer tends to remove the dye it seems like. What Bissel product are you talking about? Quote
slick Posted June 23, 2008 Report Posted June 23, 2008 The carpet cleaner that you would put into a steam cleaner. Just the general carpet cleaning solution, or even the high traffic solution would be fine. Quote
5speedz34 Posted June 23, 2008 Author Report Posted June 23, 2008 Hmm.. I think the one we have you can't put anything into but alright thanks. Quote
