how accurate do you need it? I can check with a tape measure quick.

and just to clarify, so the t/o bearing is all the way against the bellhousing, and you need a measurement from the outside edge of the throwout bearing to where the bell housing ends (where it mates to the block). Not to the end of the input shaft, right?

Yes from the throwout bearing (NOT the input shaft) to the end of the bellhousing where it mates to the block. And the throwout bearing needs to be pushed all the way IN, like if the clutch was disengaged. Tape measurer will be fine. Thank you soo much. I really need this measurement!

from the top of the bearing surface (with the t/o bearing sitting on the input shaft fully disengaged) to a point level with the block mating surface, I got 2 15/32", +/- maybe an 1/8 either way at most due to bearing wear and inaccuracies with the tape measure.

Thanks I need all the luck I can get, this swap seems to keep throwing me new problems as I go but I cant turn back now.

Do you know if your measurement would be the same for the 284?

not a clue, the clutch setup on a 284 is a pull-type so probably not. The case proportions might be the same but the bearing location is different I guess.
