well i picked up a set of wires and wanted to grab a set of #8 AC Delco plugs, but all they had available were #12's. i was just wondering if anyone has used those in there LQ1 before. if so, what did you think? or should just return them and wait for them to order me in a set of #8'S.

i tried searching the forum for info on #12's, but came up empty handed. also the correct gap for the LQ1 is .45mm correct? thanks guys.

This is from AC Delco's website (link should work):

http://198.208.187.182/internet/VehiclePartDescription.jsp?selectedfld=&application=Car%2FLight+Duty+Truck&year=1993&make=CHEVROLET&model=LUMINA+Z34&engine=V6+3.4L+207cid+GAS+FI+N+Engine+VIN+%3D+X++++++&productline=25&part=7212

but if it doesn't, basically it lists the originals (R42LTSM, gap: .045) and Rapidfires (#12, gap: .060). Doesn't mention #8s.

Thanks.

According to them the #12's should work just fine. i find that's quite the gap though. anyone ever try them in their LQ1?

I guess i will give them a try and see how they work.

ok, i know when i tried to get the 8's they had none which is very strange for Canadian Tire. You may be correct. i will give them a try and see how they work. thanks

*I think* 8's got replaced by 12's.

I'm pretty sure you're right. AC Delco's main site only lists the #12's for the LQ1 now(along with the standard copper core plug - R42LTSM).
