ManicMechanic Posted June 8, 2008 Report Posted June 8, 2008 Will a 1994 CS ABS unit work on a 1992 GP? The interchange says no...But maybe you guys know 100% or if it can be easily modified to fit... Quote
digitaloutsider Posted June 8, 2008 Report Posted June 8, 2008 I want to say no, because I'm almost certain the system itself changed between '92 and '94, but I could be wrong. Quote
EviLette Posted June 8, 2008 Report Posted June 8, 2008 Nice. A certain forum member sold me a 95 Master cylinder, said it would work on my 92 GP. Wow. Quote
ManicMechanic Posted June 8, 2008 Author Report Posted June 8, 2008 Well, I looked in the service manuals (which I should have done instead of making this thread, lol!) and just a couple of wire colors are different, everything else appears to be the same. [edit] I'm tired...lol I should have been in bed hours ago. Quote
EviLette Posted June 8, 2008 Report Posted June 8, 2008 So cut/splice wires will make it functional? I was looking at the top piece on the one on my new abs that's broken, I know they are different years... the insides are different, but I"m almost wondering if the top harness would be interchangeable. I should just dig out my torx and start pulling it apart, since the bastards broken anyways. Quote
ManicMechanic Posted June 8, 2008 Author Report Posted June 8, 2008 Just the wire colors are different, they still do the same thing...I wasn't fully aware of missing words when I was typing... EviLette: What I said in PM is open...I also have an FSTB but it's waaaayyyy too big for that box. LOL! Quote
EviLette Posted June 8, 2008 Report Posted June 8, 2008 PM sent so I don't hijack this thread. Wire COLORS. Okay. LOL. Quote
