Take your lid and broken hinge,put them together and run a wood screw approx one and a half inches long thru both from the rear of the lid. I've done this to several cars and it works great. I did one more repair on another lid using screws with domed heads (the writeup I did I just used screws I had laying around) and used shrink wrap to hide the visible parts of them.
