Night Fury
Ok. With the summer driving season upon us, and gas prices the way they are, I figure this is in order. This is a thread on things to do to maximize fuel efficiency and keep your engine going strong. Include HOW-TO's, recommendations, and the best brands. Lets kick off things with how to clean components of the intake, like the MAF. Cause I don't know how.

ns87
Definite: Fuel Filter Air Filter Clean Throttle Body Trans fluid and filter (when you get your new one in) Oil change + filter (don't waste your time switching to synthetic now IMO) Possibly: Check your brakes. My rear ones drag, and that slows my car down a lot Plug and wires if they're old Maybe drain the coolant if its a little black looking. I wouldn't bother getting it flushed. Sorry your car is as old as mine. Not worth it
Andrew
Everything said plus: Clean the MAF with MAF cleaner only. Carb/TB cleaner is NOT sensor safe. MAF cleaner will also clean out your TB just fine so i only buy the MAF cleaner. Clean the EGR. Air up the tires appropriately.
