GOT2B GM
Traded my old 6 year old Alpine deck for this gem. JVC KD-AVX2 in dash DVD with 3.5" screen. Will work nicely since a flip out screen won't work in the cutty since the radio is recessed so far behind the dashpad. http://www.crutchfield.com/S-MXCPcm90Wxs/App/Product/Item/Main.aspx?i=257KDAVX2
jeremy
really small but definitely an upgrade from a 6yr old alpine
GOT2B GM
yeah I want a flip out like the one you scored for the TGP, but I'm waiting for a good deal.
jeremy
I certainly wouldn't have been opposed to one of these little decks....options are extremely limited due to GM's shitty 1.5 din radio openings

Venom
Nice deck. Ive always wondered about JVC's quality.
GOT2B GM
I thought I read somewhere on the board here that Chris (slick) seemed to think JVC was decent. He's an audio installer at Best Buy.
Venom
Yeah I know who he is. I remember the second deck I ever bought was a JVC. It stopped playing CDs after 4 months and then it was stolen a few weeks later . But that was like 8 years ago so its hard to judge a company by just one bad luck years ago. I usually stick with Pioneer anyways.
slick
Out of all the decks we sell here at work, we have less problems with JVC than any other company. Anyways, cool deck. Only thing I don't like is how slow JVC's load mp3/wma/whatever file type it is. They can be a bit slow. Otherwise, they are usually pretty well priced with tons of features. GnatGoSplat
I used to have that exact deck in my truck, before I pulled out the Dremel and went to town on putting in a double-DIN. Anyway, I really liked it. You could burn MP3's to a DVD as well. The iPod interface could have been better, but after getting used to it, it wasn't bad. Garrett Powered
try the monster interface, that way you get video as well and you can still use the ipod to scroll through. I got that exact deck and I just keep my ipod in the little slot next to the deck. the only downsides are you have to charge the ipod at night so you have to get a cig lighter charger or bring it inside and plug it into the computer. also the video comes up on the screen backwards for some reason, and I think its because the aux is for a rearview mirror. but I got a 7 inch screen for $88 from parts express I am going to keep in the glove box in case I ever need it. that deck is awesome though. and I almost got it flush mounted too because I know a little trick to get more clearance. you drill a couple new holes in the console mounts.
