J
OH SHIT, that blows. It's going to take a bit of fab work and some welding and new steel to get it to be right again.
5speedz34
WOW. I've never seen that happen before. Take it to a body shop and see what they can do. Probably just the spot welds cracked. But they might have to cut into to it to get it fixed.
Crazy K
My 95 LQ1 cutlass sedan is the same way. mine is not worth fixing. yours... Is that heavy rusting in front of the mounting area? You should get it fixed. You will need to find someone who can weld and will be able to make good strong repairs to structural areas of cars. do you still have the Z34 parts car? If that area is still good on that car, you might be better off having a good welder use that part of that car to fix the GTP.
RedGTP
damn :S .. I do not have the Z34 since 2years. I will check this weekand what I can do with this .. :S
GOT2B GM
cut and weld in a new section, or try and fabricate your own custom piece. and after you get it fixed, oil spray or undercoat the hell out of your car.
CSI_MuNkY
Only a Canadian pothole could of done that! Damn I hate our roads... Good luck getting it fixed! Jamie
BXX
This is what you need. Newer W's use a bracket that bolts onto the body.. Look in the pic in the link and you will see what I am talking about http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Century-Impala-Intrigue-Rear-Trailing-Arm-Knuckle_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1713Q2em153Q2el1262QQcategoryZ33593QQihZ013QQitemZ230203759019QQtcZphoto
rockfangd
that happened to my cutlass 4 years ago 4 years ago. i paid $650 to have new sections welded and they told me to get rid of the car after a year. lol 4 years later and i still have it. i undercoat it every year. The mechanic begs to differ but i told him i thought it had to do with the way he lifted my car to do the front bearings . when they did the job they replaced the driver side trailing arm and now it is bad again. Good luck
Dark Ride
you can get just that mount from GM for the 2nd gens for like $10 each, might be worth a shot if you could weld it in place or something

J
looks like your going to have to cut out the rotted section and weld in a new bracket/ triangular "box" that looks to be rotted
RedGTP
I can take one in junkyard and cut in same place, and weld on my car ?
J
i would think so, but you'll need to leave yourself more material to work with and brace it. I'd cut as much as you can from a JY car
RedGTP
I have unbolted my trailing arm... I can make a hole and screw this support with my 'chasis' under a rear right seat
