ManicMechanic
Likely they are for the engine oil cooler, which you don't have.
CutSupreme93
there is another radiator infront of the big one but that should be the trans cooler right. so should i got back and tell them i need a radiator without the oil cooler? ManicMechanic
No, that 'other radiator' is the A/C condenser. You don't need to go back because it won't hurt anything, in fact you might decide to add something that needs cooling later in the future and you'll already have the right radiator. CutSupreme93
so just leaving them open is ok, they wont leak out?

rockfangd
it will leak only if something is hooked up to one side but not the other lol.
Venom
it will leak only if something is hooked up to one side but not the other lol. Exactly. The only thing that would run through it is whatever you wish to cool and have hooked up to it.
rockfangd
you know i was thinking something, its too bad that instead of the stupid frame mounted power steering cooler line it couldnt be cooled by the radiator. has anyone ever thought of this
GutlessSupreme
The steering fluid doesn't get that hot where it would need to be cooled by the radiator. It'd be a waste of time IMHO. I wouldn't leave those extra ports open. It won't leak but you don't want shit getting in there either. Go to Home Depot to find some fittings to close them up. For some reason I couldn't get anything to fit my TGP radiator when I was plugging the cooler lines after my manual tranny swap, so I just siliconed them up
mediabandit
when i replaced mine not too long ago, it came with the brass fittings blocking off the aux ports on the opposing side. did you make sure to look in the box, there should be a small bag with fittings. oir maybe that was just this certain shop who does this. White93z34
Likely they are for the engine oil cooler, which you don't have. AFIK these cars never had a oil cooler of that fashion, those other holes would be for the trans cooler on the 3 speed automatics

White93z34
what models? I am very interested to know. the only oil cooler I know of available on any gen 1 is the LQ1 style that uses antifreeze running through it to cool it down.
